Will you stand up and be counted with the MRRA Legislative Committee ? If you will, write or call

The MRRA Legislative Committee works with Krista Cupp, 703-267-1194, the NRA ILA (Institute for Legislative Action) Headquarters Grassroots Coordinator for Minnesota and Chris Rager, 703-267-1213, the NRA ILA Headquarters State and Local Government Liaison for Minnesota, and is involved in activity on policy that is advanced or approved by NRA ILA HQ.

"After a shooting spree, they always want to take the guns away from the people who didn't do it." -William S. Burroughs

"If you've got a gun law that criminals will obey, why not just turn it into a murder law that criminals will obey?" -Andrew Ford

"If guns cause crime, mine are all defective." - Ted Nugent

"If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an outright ban, picking up every one of them, Mr. and Mrs. America, turn them all in, I would have done it." - Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), discussing the 1994 "crime bill", one of the largest gun control bills of the last 30 years.

We need to do more to educate complacent, apathetic or uninformed gun owners that they have more Senator Dianne Feinsteins in the legislature and congress than ever before that will take their hunting guns and that they have to be more vigilant and active than ever before. A 2008 Supreme court decision said we have a right to keep and bear arms, but left the door wide open for governments at all levels to micro manage it.

We need to get a lot more gun owners focused on electing people to office at all levels who respect their basic rights. The office seekers who say they will not take away your hunting gun, 1. Ignor the Right to Keep and Bear Arms that is not about hunting and 2. Are the ones who do vote to take away your hunting guns and ammo.

We need to do more to educate the general public that guns are not dangerous and shooting sports are the safest sports and that size and strength are not needed to participate successfully.

"A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks." --- Thomas Jefferson to Peter Carr, 1785. The Writings of Thomas Jefferson, (Memorial Edition) Lipscomb and Bergh, editors.
